    My name is Ms. Conrad, and I teach fifth grade at Meister Elementary School. I have been teaching fifth grade at River Forest since 2011. Previously, I have taught fifth and sixth grades at Hobart Middle School and Joann Martin in Hobart, Indiana. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Elementary Education and Psychology from Purdue University Calumet. I studied Educational Administration there as well. I am also a mom of three great kids. Allison is a sixth grader, Miles is a fifth grader, and Mason is in third grade. 
     
    Classroom Expectations
    1. Come to class on time and prepared.
    2. Show respect for others, their ideas, and property.
    3. Use active listening.
    4. Stay on task.
    5. Raise hand to speak or leave seat. 
    Assignments Expectations
     
    All assignments are to be turned in to the proper tray at the beginning of the class. Students who do not have their assignments are expected to sign the clipboard. Students will lose privileges each time the clipboard is signed within a week. Students may also sign the clipboard if they choose to not meet classroom expectations. 

    Homework
    Reading:
    -Students are expected to read 30 minutes Monday through Thursday evenings. Extra credit is offered for weekend reading. Reading Logs must be signed by an adult each evening for full credit. 
    -Students are expected to meet their individual AR reading goals each month.
    -Students are expected to complete a book report project monthly.
     
    Math:
    -Students will be given math assignments in class and assistance will be offered in class. Assignments not finished in class will become homework and are due the following morning.
