River Forest High School Commencement Ceremony 2020-2021

River Forest High School’s commencement ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m. Because of the weather forecast and the need of time for set-up, the ceremony will be held in the River Forest High School gymnasium. Seating is reserved for families by the assigned numbers on the tickets you have received. Some distance will be provided for safety and comfort and face masks are required.
Seniors wanting individual pictures should report to the Media Center at 4:30 p.m.
All seniors should be in the gymnasium at 5:00 p.m. for graduation practice.
River Forest High School’s commencement ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m. We are closely monitoring the weather to the best of our ability; the decision on location will be made on Tuesday morning. Regardless of whether we are indoors or outside, seats will be reserved for families by the assigned numbers on the tickets and some distance will be provided for safety and comfort.
NorthShore Health Centers will be here to provide Wellness Exams, Sports Physicals and/or any needed vaccines. See flier for more information. Be sure to call and register for an appointment. Vaccines must be up to date on the first day of the new school year. (this includes exemption paperwork). COVID-19 vaccines will NOT be available at this site.

St.Joseph's Carmelite Home in East Chicago experienced a fire this past Sunday and they need our help. They are a local resource that offers emergency shelter care, support for teen mothers and infant care, as well as residential care for children.
If you are interested in helping out, you can drop off items listed in the attached image to any vestibule at a RF school.

A well earned CONGRATULATIONS is due to our high school band! They received a GOLD rating at the ISSMA Virtual Contest. They had been working hard since January on their music, and all their work paid off. If you happen to see any of the students involved, say congrats!
Next Tuesday, May 4th, is a scheduled e-Learning day. There will be no in person attendance and no live video teaching.
Students will complete assignments via their Google classrooms bases on a B day schedule. Assignments will be posted by 9am on 5/4.

The State of Indiana is extending the FAFSA filing deadline beyond the original deadline of April 15, 2021. There is no set end date for the extension. Funding will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so students are encouraged to file as soon as possible.
Students can continue to contact their outreach coordinator or INvestEd at 317-715-9007 or email outreach@investedindiana.org for assistance in filing the FAFSA.
