Community Eligibility Provision Notification Dear Parent or Guardian: We are pleased to inform you that the River Forest Community School Corporation will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for meals served on the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024 school year. All students enrolled within the district are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge each day of the 2023-2024 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application. Effective June 6th, a River Forest Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees member seat became vacant. Any individual who is interested and resides in the River Forest Community School Corporation district is asked to please contact River Forest School Board clerk Diana Villarreal via email at dvillarreal@rfcsc.k12.in.us and provide a statement of interest and contact information. All information should be submitted by June 16, 2023. The School Board will review candidates and make the determination on the new member of the board. Applicants should address their information to River Forest School Board President Steve Kissel.

The School Board meeting originally scheduled for March 21, 2023 has been moved to Thursday, March 16 at 6:00 in the RFI Learning Center.

Friday, March 3rd is an eLearning day with live teaching. Middle and High School Students need to be logged into their Google Classrooms beginning at 7:50am. Elementary School students need to be logged in at 9:00am. Students will follow their daily class schedules from their Chromebooks. -- Mañana es un día de eLearning con enseñanza en vivo. Los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria deben iniciar sesión en sus aulas de Google a partir de las 7:50 am. Los estudiantes de la escuela primaria deben iniciar sesión a las 9:00 am. Los estudiantes seguirán sus horarios de clases diarios desde sus Chromebooks.

Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is pleased to announce summer program offerings for students in Northwest Indiana. This year they are offering a wide range of programs for learners interested in nursing, robotics and STEM fields, to explorations in how to become innovators and creators. Registration opens later this month

The location of this months board meeting has changed. It will now be held at RF Middle/High School in the Round on Wednesday, February 15 at 6 p.m.
