Good afternoon, RF Families!
We are asking for your assistance in helping us maintain student dress code. The number one issue is blankets right now. Unfortunately, our admin team has been fighting the losing battle of students bringing blankets to school and wearing them draped around their shoulders. This seems like an innocent replacement for a jacket/sweater, but unfortunately, the students use them as "cover" to vape in class and other negative behaviors. If your student does not have an appropriate jacket or winter coat, please contact us and we will connect you with resources to obtain one.
Additionally, we are seeing students wearing hats, hoods, and sunglasses indoors. This will not be allowed, and students will be asked to remove them, or refrain from wearing hoodies at all to avoid the issue.
As always, shirts are expected to cover the mid-section, pants must be pulled up to the waist, and no profanity or drug/alcohol references will be tolerated.
We do understand that these are children. We want them to be comfortable and express their individuality. However, these measures are to ensure and maintain a safe and professional environment.
Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and thank you for your support,
Gaelyn Mlynarcik and Randy Horka
