When you do register, please-please-please take a few minutes to fill out the 26/27 Alternate Household Applicaiton for Free and Reduced Eligibility. Every family is encouraged to complete this very important form. Not only does this help provide free breakfast and lunch for ALL Evans kids, it helps the school get additional funding in a variety of areas. Please help us get everything we need for our Evans Panthers by filling out this short form during registration.
Hey Kindergarten families! It's almost time!
Please email dswanson@rfcsc.k12.in.us if you are interested in having your incoming Kindergarten student attend JUMP START! You should receive information in the mail today if your child has been enrolled to attend Evans! Please bring the permission slip you receive in the mail on the first day of Jump Start. You can get one at the school on the first day if you don't receive an invitation by mail!
Jump Start begins Monday, July 27. The hours are 8 am to noon daily, and it runs through Friday, August 7. Breakfast and lunch for students are served each day! We would love to meet our incoming Panthers and help them get ready for a successful start to school!
ALSO- please plan to come in and learn all about Kindergarten on Thursday, August 6 at noon during Kindergarten Orientation! Meet your child's teacher, sign up for Class Dojo, tour the school, and take a practice bus ride home! WE can't wait to see your smiles! For the 2026-2027 school year, the River Forest Community School Corporation will maintain our partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana. The location for the 2026-2027 school year will be in South Haven,
Valparaiso.
For the South Haven Club: Membership would be $60/child for the school year and $40/month per child for transportation from school to the South Haven Club. Parents would need to pick up their kids from the South Haven Club (723 Long Run Rd., Valparaiso, IN 46385)
