Wednesday, February 17 will be a ‘B’ Day eLearning Day. This means your teachers will post lessons for your B day classes only. Remember that you will not have live lessons, but rather assignments posted on your teacher’s google classrooms. All assignments will be posted by 9am. Teachers will be available to assist via email from 9-2.

Due to continuing poor conditions outside, students will participate in an E-Learning day on Wednesday, February 17th. This will be a B Day, so there will be work for periods 5, 6, and 7!

This is a message from the Food Service Department:
Wednesday’s meal distribution will be canceled because of weather
conditions. We are tentatively planning on distributing these meals on Friday, February 19th. We will keep you updated on any changes. Thank you for your continued support.

Due to inclement weather all students will participate in an E-Learning Day on February 16, 2021. Students do not report to school on E-Learning Days and will be able to contact their teachers to log on beginning at 9 am.

Due to inclement weather; Tuesday, February 16th will be an E-Learning day. We will be on an A Day schedule, so you will complete work for periods 1, 2, 3, and 4. Work will be posted by 9 AM!

RF students! Interested in a night of fun, food, sports, and games? Then sign up for Teen Night at the Boys and Girls Club! This event takes place on Feb 26th from 6:30-9:30. You must be a member to attend. See the attached flyer for more details!


RFCSC and The City of Lake Station has partnered with Beyond 4 Walls and will be distributing food boxes to those in need. At 10 am on February 9th, they will be at Riverview Park to pass them out! This is open to anyone with a Lake Station or New Chicago ID! See attached flyer.

Northshore is offering free dental exams, x-rays, cleanings and more for uninsured children up to age 17. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.


Attention RF Sophomore Families.
Last year's freshmen had their "Relentless Peer Mentoring" experience cut short due to the pandemic. As a result, A Positive Approach to Teen Health is providing all current sophomores the opportunity to participate in their 10th grade program, "Love Notes", an evidenced-based holistic approach to risk prevention with a focus on positive youth development and healthy relationships. To ensure no instructional time is lost, the program will take place on Tuesdays during SRT from 11:40 AM - 12:40 PM starting next Tuesday, February 9th and continue throughout the remainder of the year.
Participation is not mandatory, but we are hopeful the majority of students will take advantage of this offer.

Youth Volleyball Camp!


Athletics Announcement:
As a result of being in the Orange for COVID-19 for the 2nd week in a row, we can now have 25% capacity at our games. For this Saturday's GSSC HS Boy's Basketball game at 5:30pm vs Lake Station Edison, we will be allowing 25% capacity with no restrictions on fans. The first 25% to purchase tickets will be allowed to enter. Tickets are NOW on sale in the RF MS/HS Main Office from 8am- 3pm. All fans must wear masks!
Lake Station Edison Fans please purchase your tickets through Mr.Jeff Bean the Lake Station Edison Athletic Director. This is for your allotted tickets. Tickets will only be sold at the gate if we have any under 25% capacity left. All tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.
